Dr. Shannon Crowe is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
and has been in practice in Sugar Land since 2000.
Dr. Crowe grew up in Northern Kentucky and graduated as Valedictorian at
Villa Madonna Academy. She went to Marquette University on scholarship
where she graduated cum laude. Her medical school training was at the
University of Kentucky where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She completed
her residency training at the University of Texas at Houston which is
affiliated with Memorial Hermann Hospital and MD Anderson.
Dr. Crowe was named “Outstanding Female Physician of 2008” at Memorial
Hermann Sugar Land Hospital. Dr. Crowe is a member of the Alpha Omega
Alpha Honor Society (AOA), the American Association of Gynecologic
Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the American College of Obstetrics and
Gynecology.
She is preceptor for Ethicon Gynecare and has published various papers
on clinical research. She is a former Chairman of the Department of
OB/GYN at Oakbend Medical Center.
Dr. Crowe specializes in comprehensive gynecology and minimally invasive
surgery. Her surgical specialties include minimally invasive
hysterectomy, female incontinence and pelvic support procedures,
laparoscopy, and endometrial ablations. Her areas of expertise also
include adolescent health, Abnormal Pap Smears and Menopause.
Dr. Crowe resides in Sugar Land. She is married to Jim Hawryluk and has
a son and daughter. Outside of work Dr. Crowe is an experienced marathon
runner and triathlete. She is currently training for the Boston Marathon
and Ironman Texas. She coaches girls soccer and tries to instill values
of health and wellness in girls and women of all ages.
